I just got my juicer in the mail today. What are some of your fave recipes? I have never juiced before and I heard that you should take it slow in the beginning. Any truth to that? I love all fruits and veggies so give me your best and most delicious :) Thanks in advance!

When I first got my juicer I tried all sorts of recipes. Now I find myself going back to these two over and over. Simple ingredients that I usually have anyway. And tasty.

Juice 1: 1 cucumber, spinach (about 1/2 a bag of the prewashed kind), 2 apples, 1 orange
    Juice 2: 4-6 carrots (peeled), 2 apples, 2 oranges

Quick tip - make sure that when you're juicing you are thoroughly washing everything before you run it through the machine. If possible, organic is better. Whatever chemicals/residue/bacteria is on the produce you definitely do not want to ingest it.

    Recipes:

Sweet and tasty - 4 Beets, 2 Green Apples, 1 Lime

V8 juice without all the sodium - 1 head romaine lettuce, handful cilantro, cucumber, celery, 1/2 jalepeno (no seeds), 2 cloves garlic, 1/3 onion, 6 tomatoes, 1/2 lemon, small piece ginger

Yummy for morning - 1/2 pineapple, 1 banana, big handful spinach, small piece of ginger

Carrot + Kale - green apple, bunch of kale, 4 large carrots

    Happy Juicing!

I recommend using spinach more often than not. It blends easily with other flavors and it's nutritious value is outstanding.

I don't juice, but I do make smoothies as least once a day. Some of my favorites are:

    spinach + banana + strawberry
spinach + mango + green tea + vanilla yogurt
    spinach + blueberries + honey
....and the "go to" favorite ---- spinach + strawberry + banana

I always add protein powder to my smoothies, for the extra punch. :flowerforyou:
