mixing up your routine

i was wondering, they say to mix up your routine to constantly keep your muscles guessing.... i do a random order of exercises say for arms each day. but ultimately i am doing the same ones just in a different order or with different weight limits etc. is this ok or do they mean to do completely new exercises all the time? ive looked online i feel like i am doing every exercise i have ever found. having trouble finding new things to do to keep it different.... i spose i could try trx style things .. they just added the stuff in our gym a few days ago. ive never done it so im a bit reluctant.
