Making it work!

Hello, everyone!

My name is Kary, I'm 25 years old and I have been struggling with my weight since I can remember. I've started many meal plans, diets, been to most of the gyms in my city but... nothing works out! I mean.. I didn't want to make it work.

But now, it's a whole new story, I don't want to be overweight anymore and I am determined to change my life this time around. So far and before joining here, I've lost 13.22 lbs and the number is going up! I really, really dislike gyms, so I'm going out for 2 walks every day (morning and night) and I feel great, however, there's not that many "supporting" people around me and sometimes I feel lonely in this journey, that's why i'm here right now. I need to be inspired thru other people's stories and feel supported by a group of people that's going thru my same situation. I hope I can find that kind of environment here.

Thank you for reading me.

Welcome!!!! I seriously HATE being around a bunch of people...have an anxiety disorder or something...so naturally gyms for me suck... BUT i found a gym that has a "Cardio Room"....Golds Gym. They play movies in a huge dim lit room with nothing but cardio machines...people are so focused on the movie that no one pays attention if you're(me) sweating like dude! Wish you the best with everything and enjoy those outdoor walks, sometimes those are the best!!

Welcome. Yes, it's hard when you don't have others around to support you. There's a lot of support and encouragement here. Good luck.

I'm looking for new options and I found something called "Boot camp training" and it's basically military training. I'm going to go next week to check it out, I hope it's good!

Stick with MFP and log daily and you should see rapid results for the first few weeks in the programme - then the fun begins
