Hi
As said I'm confused a little, I have been loosing weight by eating 1200 most days but also i exercise most days to and i dont eat any exercise kals?
After reading some of the things on here I'm very confused as say on a typical day I eat my 1200 and exercise 400 that means in that day I've only eaten 800? Isn't this semi starvation mode?
If it is semi starvation mode then soon ill stop loosing weight? So what is the point of exercise?
Thanks any help is very much appreciated x

The fundamental answer to your subject question is YES! You eat back your calories.
Firstly to answer your following questions from that, the most basic way of explaining it would be from a bodybuilders perspective, if you only ate 1200kcal daily and did no exercise (assuming your trying to lose weight) you will lose most of the muscle on your body since you are not stimulating them by weightlifting etc. That is one major factor why people try to weight lift even when they are cutting as they are trying to hold on as much muscle as possible.
Second point which is the most obvious is your health, by doing cardio such as running/cycling you have a healthier body/heart which means you potentially live longer.
Thirdly is that by exercise assuming you eat back all your calories you burnt, you don't necessarily eat back "all" of your calories because once you have exercised, your bodies metabolism kicks in and so you may continue to burn calories after your workout say another 6 hours. Its that feeling that you may get when you workout then have a shower but even after cleaning up you continually sweat - this is because your bodies metabolism is fired up!
Obviously this is different from person to person but the principles remain! :drinker:0 -

Point of exercising is for general fitness and health plus then you don't get that skinny fat look instead you'll be toned and slim. Exercise is great and it's a great way of allowing yourself0
