Sick :( and my start day is today

I was supposed to start my workout regimine & diet today.. but i'm sick. I would still workout lightly but I'm asthmatic and can't breath. Has anyone started still when they've been sick? I am going to sleep today because I work tonight, but I really want to get started?

Just track everything you eat today.

Start anyway! I am in the same boat. Wanted to start fresh today, but think I woke up feeling like I am getting a cold. I wouldn't work out hard if you aren't feeling well, but you can still make healthy food choices!0

Agreed, just concentrate on tracking your food. IMHO, that's the most important part and a good habit to start regardless of whether or not you're exercising. Also, if you're fighting a cold, don't worry about going over your calories a little - your body's already under enough stress with fighting the illness. If you do feel like you can exercise, just do something lowkey, don't push yourself too hard.0

Definitely start. It doesn't matter if you exercise or not. There's no need to exercise every single day, or even every week when one is sick. Remember, this is about making changes to your life, not just "going on a diet," otherwise, you'll be doomed to regain the weight later on. Focus on your health, and watching not only how much you eat, but what you eat. Make healthy changes. Add lots of fruits and vegetables and lean proteins and a bit of healthy fats to your diet. It will help you lose weight, even without exercise, and it will help your immune system.0

I agree. Start! it may be difficult but even when I'm sick, if I work out, I get over it much quicker. Even a brisk walk could make you feel better. (I also have severe asthma and allergies)0

Well seeing as I just got home from Urgent care because I couldn't breath, I have solidified the fact that I am making healthy choices today and not working out like planned. They started my on prednisone so it will be harder over the next few days to lose weight but I know that going in. I will begin my workout on Friday (because of my work schedule). I should feel pretty good by then.
