Catnip Broccoli Pizza Crust - YUMMY!!

My cat always has pizza with me on pizza night, but ever since I started making the broccoli crust, she wouldn't touch it (pizza snob!!). So I decided to experiment with adding catnip to the crust, and she LOVES IT!! Can't get enough of it - I have to fight her for my 1/2 of the pizza now. And really - I don't find it affects the taste much - helps hide the broccoli flavor, TBH.
2 cups cooked broccoli
1/4 cup fresh catnip (use less if using dried catnip)
2 large egg
2 cups mozzarella cheese
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
add a little tuna water if crust is too dry
Combine all and press evenly into well greased in to a pan or cookie sheet (this makes a LARGE 14 inch crust) sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper and basil (if desired).
Bake at 450 degrees until browned and bubbly (15-20 minutes).
Top like a pizza and rebake to cook toppings.

I wonder if my cat would like this. He loooooves spinach. maybe i would add that.
ps. have you ever felt funny from the catnip?0 -
I really like sausage in my pizza. Do you think it would mix well with the catnip/broccoli taste. Or should I just go with the theme and add tuna?0

Hmm, bumping to try later!0

seems to be giving me the munchies, but I thought maybe I just didn't have enough protein?0 -
A-MAY-ZING!
Where do you source your fresh catnip? I can only get it dried where I am. It's just not the same.0 -

I have this problem, too. Then I overdo the toppings. And everything I've read on tuna is that I really need to limit to 12 ounces a week because of risk of mercury poisoning. I can easily eat double that when I've had catnip.0 -
You can grow catnip, too.0

Is there an ethical substitute for the cheese though?0 -

What does catnip taste like?
about halfway between weed and parsley0 -
Do you have problems with your cat rubbing himself on the pizza before eating?! I could see that leading to some serious burns and a trip to the vet...0
-
I'm bumping this for later! Do you used dried or fresh cat nip? I don't have organic catnip will that be OK?0
-
That is a catnip frittata...not a pizza crust0
-
Is that catnip or "catnip"? Because if it is "catnip" I have a great recipe for brownies...0

well, for these purposes, real catnip. You know, for sharing with the cat. But if you want to share it with your friends instead, use 'catnip'0 -

Dried is fine, just be sure to 1/2 the quantity. And add a little extra tuna water.0
