Explanation of 30 Day Squat challenge?

Can someone let me in on this lol, is it just straight squats...is it in sets, are there weights involvled. If someone could just go over this i would appreciate it

    I would like to know the answer to this as well. I think I've seen somewhere a schedule for each day with the number of squats/rest days, but I didn't keep it and I wasn't sure it was the "right one" anyway.

    It's squats only. Progressively increase reps each day. My professional advice would tell you it's NOT necessary to squat everyday since leg muscles need rest days like any other muscle when worked out. Daily exercise of it (resistance training) doesn't allow recovery.

  • I was wondering about the consecutive day part. Always thought your muscles needed a day in between for rest. So, I might change it to a 60 day challenge.

    It seems like everyone is doing different things. Some are doing a 100 each day, some are starting off with say 30 or so and working up to 300 or so.

    Personally, I am doing as below and on my rest days I am doing 25 abs and 25 push-ups. I am incredibly unfit at the moment so to me this is a good soft start. This and walking is all the exercise I am getting right now but I will increase it soon.

    1 - 100 squats
    2 - 100 squats
    3 - 100 squats
    4 REST
    5 - 100 squats
    6 - 100 squats
    7 - 100 squats
    8 REST
    9 - 120 squats
    10 - 120 squats
    11 - 120 squats
    12 REST
    13 - 120 squats
    14 - 120 squats
    15 - 120 squats
    16 REST
    17 - 140 squats
    18 - 140 squats
    19 - 140 squats
    20 REST
    21 - 160 squats
    22 - 160 squats
    23 - 160 squats

  • I just completed one in March. It DID have rest days. The last day required 250 squats. I really liked it because it built up to that amount. I did not use weights. If you Google 30 day squat challenge it should come up. The one that I did has an image of a butt on it in a swimsuit.

    My mom did the 30-day squat challenge. She said she really liked it. Started with 50 for the first day and 250 on the last day. I will see if I can find that link. She was so happy with the results that she was thinking of doing it again--even though there was no squat challenge per se.

    I am currently doing the 30 day squat challenge and just finished Day 13...I don't feel like I am seeing results does anyone else feel this way???
