I am 24 and live in London. I've been fat ever since I was about 10 and realised I could take biscuits from the tin in the morning before my parents got up. That was really the start of a decade and a half of a lack of self control. I never really exorcised and I ate too much of the wrong things.
I currently weigh 105kg or there abouts, with my heaviest being 115ish last year.
I have joined quite a few gyms over the years but never really stuck to it, I have always found excuses not to go after a while. Too tired, too much work, should be studying and so on.
I started biking to work last year, at the time about 12 miles each way. I did this a few times a week for a few months and lost about 10kg. I want to start that again when the weather gets warmer (only 8 miles to work now so I should be able to do it every day).
I have also joined another gym. But I am actually going. I have started a new job which is much quicker to get to (30 mins compared to 70 mins) and I work a lot less hours. So I am trying to go to the gym a few times a week, I have tended to go twice during the week and once or twice at the weekend. Each time I use the cross trainer for about 45 mins while watching an episode of breaking bad. I then lift some weights, whatever is available with no specific routine.
I have also just bought a kettle bell. And started using my fitness pal. And I have started eating loads of vegetables. I actually like broccoli now (when roasted).
Anyway, no point to this post apart from to give a bit of background and say hello, I would love to get to know some people on here and try and keep each other on track.
I have no idea how much I want to lose, I want to look and feel good. I've set a target of 15kg to start with, to take me down to 90. Then I shal re-evaluate and take it from there. I have set an intermediate target of getting below 100kg by the end of may.
