preschool

i know this is a wired subject. My son is 22 months and going on 23 months on the 7th of April. I enrolled him in preschool last week and today was his first day of preschool I dropped him off at 8 this morning and picked him up at 2. well this morning he didn't even cry he didn't even care that I had left, made me really sad because he been around me since he was born. he has a good day and played with his friends and he had good table manners. wow good table manners I must be doing something good. we do eat at the table as a family. im so proud of my son being that good at preschool and he took a nap

Yeah I know it's hard but you are fortunate, you have an independent child. This is a good thing...though I know it hurts your feelings a little. I went through the same thing.... It really is a good thing; it means you did a great job so far. Keep up the great work. He's a well adjusted independent almost 2 year old.

Wait.....Your son is in preschool for 6 hours???? Mine only goes for an hour and a half! I want to go where you go!!!!! LOL! Great job mama and enjoy your much needed break! Oh, and my son is 3 and loves school and barely notices when I leave so I feel your pain!

Enjoy the time you have with them....my stepson (whom I've raised from a young child) is 15 now and rarely wants to do anything with me, mom, and his 2 sisters. lol but, that's teens for you.

I always say that as much as it kills me that my almost 3yo does just fine when I drop him off at "school" (daycare) it would kill me even more if he clung to me and cried.

Trust me, yes I also have an almost 16yo son, that seems to hate me most days. Love em while they are little while it is still easy....

He will got through phases, have the same routine every day - walk him into class, hug, kiss. Mommy loves you, Bye bye!!! There will be days where it will be hard as he will cry, cling and make you feel like the worst Mom on the planet, but keep to your routine. 9 times out of 10 they are fine when you leave!!
It doesn't just happen with Pre-school either........!!
