Loose skin, can anything help?

o.k. bit of a wierd topic I know, and wasn't sure which section to put it in.
But as I was so far over weight when I started all this, and having had 2 kids. With just 20kgs gone (and another 40 to go) it is becoming more and more apparent to me that my stomach isn't going to go back to where it was.
Just wondering if anyone out there has had issues with loose skin in all parts of their body, not just stomach. Is there anything that can be done, eaten or used as a cream etc... along the way that may help it all go back??? Or is saving up for surgery the only option?
Thanx

I lost over 100 lbs before I thought about loose skin. Mine is only under my arms and my muffin top. The only thing I know has helped is weight lifting and massive situps while still retaining my cardio. My legs were a little saggy too, but as you can see from my picture, I lunged my way to a nice full shape there. Anyway, do add some weights for toning. It works wonders.0

Short of surgery, serious resistance training is the only answer I know of.0

Ive lost 85 kilos and do have excess skin, but when you consider how much I have lost I dont think its that awful. I do have it on my thighs, back, stomach and some on my arms. While losing weight I wouldnt focus on the skin as such (be aware but dont worry)...but weight train....drink your water....eat lots of good fats. Some recommend different moisturisers and dry brushing but none of that helped me. I wont be having surgery...I find as long as I dress well its not noticeable0

I was wondering if things that improve blood flow to the skin, like exfoliation and massage, would help the skin recover better.0

There is some research that says HGH proteins help with skin elasticity. Your body produces it when you sleep, exercise, and fast.0

What research, where?0 -
Cocoa butter twice a day. Loose skin won't shorten your life span but excess fat will so please do not worry too much about it - we all have it.0

I have read in a few places that skin can take up to two years to shrink so I would just do all of the above weight train moisturizers and be thankful ya had the courage to lose the weight.0

I just read up on this myself because as I lose weight, my skin gets loose and then tightens back up. I read the same things as above- working out with weights, LOTS of water, and exfoliation. It will go away0

Thank you for the replies ladies :-) I am hoping that the other areas of my body will eventually shrink a little on their own. But all up I need to loose around 45% of my body weight. And after 2 kids and stretch marks, I didn't think there was going to be anything non-surgical that could be done about my stomach.
I will wait it out and see how it goes, got to get there first. :-)
Thank you0
