Mon April 1st: perfect day to restart! I like friends :)

Hello All,

My name is Courtney. I have been on MFP for a while, but I just got back into it again a few weeks ago. I primarily used it on my smart phone to count calories. I still do that, using an Ipod now :). A lot of my friends were just friends and family who barely post. THEN, a few weeks ago I was browsing online and noticed the "Community" section of this website. Now I can't get enough of it :) I would like to add more friends so we can all support each other!

I am a very orderly Type A person. Since today is a Monday AND the first of the month, I am getting myself mentally ready for an intense jump-start back into my journey, and today seems like the perfect day to do it!

Short back story:

976872a2-717b-497c-b2e8-899b490fe359_zpscf0488d5.jpg

2004-2007: I was a little heavy in high school, but still pretty fit.

2007-2011: I started gaining a lot of weight in college. It bothered me, but I never really put in the effort to change.

March 2011: THEN, I became a vegetarian and started learning so much about nutrition and fitness that I never knew before. The knowledge I was gaining changed my life.

2012: I made it my "New Year's Resolution" to start getting fit. I did 2 rounds of a Weight Loss Challenge where I learned SO much

Spring 2012: I also did a MOXIE challenge at my gym and started working out more doing things I love like Zumba.

Summer 2012: Then, after graduating with my Master's in Teaching and having no job, I started working at a Quiznos. I started eating the food and I was so tired from work that I wasn't working out anymore. I gained a few pounds back. (Not a lot thank goodness!).

Fall 2012/Winter 2013: Then I got a job offer to teach English in Mexico, which I accepted. Between the packing and moving abroad and settling into a new place, and trying to find healthy vegetarian food in a different country, I let a couple more pounds slip on.

Spring 2013: But now I am settled and ready to lose again! I love doing Zumba and hiking with my dog :) I have known for a couple years now that my diet and exercise is part of my new life, and I love it. Of course I have to treat myself here and there, but I no longer rely on junk as the source of my meals. Also, I started Shakeology and Turbo Fire as a 2 month jump start into summer from an awfully unhealthy Fall and Winter :)

If anyone would like to add me as a friend that would be great!
