BodyMedia and lifting weights

I got a BodyMedia about 4 weeks ago and so far I really like what I am getting out of it for everything but lifting. I typically wear it up on my left arm as recommended but when doing stronglifts 5x5 I don't even get it to register as moderate activity. Today at the recommendation of another user I wore it on my calf while lifting. While doing squats it registered as vigorous activity but nothing doing bench and rows. Anyone else use BodyMedia while lifting that gets close to an accurate calculation of calories burned and activity level or would it be best to not wear it during the lifting time and edit the off body time on the activity manager to add weightlifting?

does it have to register something as an activity in order to record your calorie burn?
I thought it is constantly measuring away?

Im interested as i just ordered one and i do lifting..

It should monitor your burn regardless as to whether or not it counts it as activity from what I understand. I don't do a lot of lifting yet personally but when I do squats and stuff in the day, my cal burn is definitely higher than when I don't. :)

Lifting doesn't really burn that many calories. So yeah, it probably shouldn't register as vigorous activity. It only registers at moderate for me too.
