My Cat Has Taught Me a New HIIT Circuit

The other day, I was looking at my thin cat (have a fat one, too), and I thought to myself, "What is he doing that Fat Henry and I aren't doing?" The answer was High Intensity Interval Training, of course.

So, for the last several days I have followed his routine closely. I nap from 45 minutes to three hours, then run up and down the hallway three times, scramble up to the kitchen counter, leap to the top of the fridge, back to the floor and twice around the island, knock over the dog's water dish, and back to napping position. I hope to lose major inches this way! Wish me luck!

He's a pretty tough trainer, no resting on the fridge.

It's also important to get some stretching in.

Will definitely try this out tomorrow! Thanks for the tips!

Although I will have to clean off the top of my fridge first...

I don't know if I can actually get to the top of my fridge. Would the stove work?

At our house the cat and I take turns chasing each other. When I get tired she moves on to my son.

Sounds about like my thin cat's routine. Except she includes matrix style wall runs. She'll start on the opposite side of the room diagonal to the couch, run up the couch till she is over it and hits the wall, then she runs along the wall until she either falls down or she his the end of the couch so she can skid across the end table.

My cat is old and arthritic. (I love him to death!) And he has earned his privilege of eat sleep cuddles eat sleep cuddles. He however needs to gain/maintain weight =( always disturbing when old kitties fluxuate in weight.

    :smooched: He turned 18 today!:smooched:
