Hello everyone! My name is Eva and I am from Southern California (Inland Empire area). I am a wife to Michael and a mother to 4 beautiful children and a step-mother to 3 more beautiful children!! Yes we have 7 kids total! We have 4 boys - ages almost 17, 16, 14, and 8 months and 3 girls ages almost 13, 11, and 4. Life is always exciting at our house!! LOL
My husband was diagnosed with heart problems at the age of 39 and now at 41 he has been told that he can no longer do the work he has done for the last 28 years of his life. This has made me have to stop and look at myself and helped me to realize that I needed to really focus on losing weight and getting healthy so that I can be there for the kids. Diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and cancer run in my family and at over 200 lbs I am not helping myself fight the odd very well.
I am new to MFP but I have been working to lose weight and exercising since Jan. So far I have lost about 17lbs. I was having a hard time before I found MFP. Now that I have discovered this site I was able to see why I hadn't lost more weight! It was my diet not my lack of exercising! Now I am back on track and working towards losing between 60 and 80 lbs.
