Hi everyone!
Has anyone had success with this protein shake? My mom and dad have been drinking it and have both lost upwards of 10 pounds without exercise. I tried to get into shakeology but to no avail.

I would say that isn't a long term sustainable strategy. Eat properly and move a little, mix in a little patience and some time, and BAM.0

the shake isn't the reason you've lost weight. you're probably undereating.
ETA: Checked your diary, yeah. That's the case.
Also, I didn't see that miracle shake in there, but I did see you logging in exercise calories. How's that work?0 -
just eat real food0

It's too expensive for me, I get whey for 1/2 the price, that being said, their banana total lean is delicious!! I have lost weight, but due to diet and exercise, not to drinking these.0

a calorie deficit is what is going to make you lose weight. not a shake. that's probably why your parents lost weight.
with that said. I do shakeology but I look at it as a nutrition drink not as a weight loss or protein drink.0 -
I did the 7 day 'jump start' over a year ago. Its not a sustainable way to live, but was doable for a week, and it gave me a nice 6 lbs weight loss that (for me) helped get my motivation where it needed to be to really commit and focus on a healthier lifestyle. Long term, its really not something you probably want to depend on.
Good luck!0 -
I only do shakes of any kind if I'm in too much of a hurry to eat real food or I'm low on protein for the day. I like Tera's Whey Bourbon Vanilla.0

I'm not a big breakfast eater, so I get this to drink to replace that meal. There are a few flavors that I love.0

Thanks everyone!
I'm definitely NOT looking for a weight loss drink, though it might have come off that way in my original post. I got on the shakeology for a quicker, easier way to have breakfast with good nutrition, so I'm looking for another shake with the same qualities and just needed some opinions.
To the person who says I'm not eating enough; 1500 calories is plenty, considering that when I did the math I should be eating 2000 per day so I'm at a 500 calorie defecit for a weight loss of 1 pound per week. I didn't say that I don't excersize, I said my parents lost weight on this shake without exercise. And I also didn't say I've been drinking this miracle shake... So I'm not sure what your point is.0 -

You're not even eating 1500 calories average.
In fact, of the days you've logged, more have been under 1000 calories than close to the 1500. Only one day was over.
My point is, for the workouts that you're doing, at 19 years old, you're likely not eating enough.
Pretty simple.

Put it to you this way: I eat breakfast, a snack, lunch, a snack, and dinner. I exercise a few times a week and often am not hungry enough to eat back my exercise calories. I am still losing weight - I've lost 13 pounds total this far and still losing. So I'm STILL not sure what your point is.0 -
check the edited post before you get so "I'M 19 AND I KNOW EVERYTHING I AM DOING IS RIGHT" on me.
I have a little clue as to what I'm doing as well. Check the ticker under my posts.
I'm trying to HELP you, but if you're just so dead set on being right, then good luck with that.
Habitually undereating? Yeah. That loss you're happy about now will eventually stop. Hunger isn't a sign of being on a nutritionally sound diet.0 -

Umm. I asked a very simple question: to get opinions on the Total Lean shake. Not to have people assume that I'm looking for a weight loss shake, criticize my diary and then criticize me. So, if you have something to say related to the topic, then please, go ahead. If not, I really don't need to continue going back and forth with somebody about what they think is right. I don't eat when I'm not hungry. Period.0 -

This is because I often forget to log dinner after I get home. I apologize for my attitude: I can see why you think the way you think now.
I do always eat dinner, which is usually between 400-500 calories depending on the night. This is my fault for not tracking and leading you to believe that I'm not eating as much as I do.
I'm sorry!0 -

Accurately logging will have a much better benefit than any shake.0 -
I would need to see the the studies comparing total lean with mostly lean to comment. j/k0

Which I understand. But, as I've said, the point of this whole topic was to find out what people think about the Total Lean supplement. I am looking for something that is easily and still nutritionally whole that I can have on my way to work each morning for breakfast, as opposed to cold cereal. That's all.0 -

I use the chocolate because I can get it for much cheaper at Sam's Club. I make up a shake with that, milk, Greek yogurt, fruit, and peanut butter to get a macronutrient balanced 700 calorie meal that I can drink. I am not a fan eating real food after I exercise. I find the flavor and texture of it when mixed with at least milk acceptable, but it is overly sweet unless cut with plain Greek yogurt IMO.0

Wow, that sounds fabulous! I have tried the shakeology with peanut butter and banana and many enjoy it that way, but the chocolate shakeology has an odd after taste that I just can't get paste. My parents LOVE the total lean shakes, particularly the vanilla flavor. Thanks for the feedback!0 -
I am a distibutor for Herbalife, and I have to say I have just started using it, and I love it. I actually have my entire family on it. I love the nutritional value that it offers.
Remember two things you really should drink plenty of water. take your weight and divide that in half and that is how much water you should drink a day. also, you should have at least 80 - 100 grams of protein a day.
I have a long way to go, but I am very determined to change my lifestyle, and eat healthier than I ever have.
Good Luck to you. I know you will do well!!0
