What? I gained that much weight back? :(

I just started working out about 2 weeks ago and I've done well. I've lost about 6lbs altogether...which is a start. On Easter, however, I allowed myself a cheat day. Yes, I ate a little bit of candy (a few pieces) and I allowed myself to eat a plate of Easter dinner. I honestly didn't think I did that bad and I even exercised like crazy the next day.
I went to weight myself this morning and the scale says I've gained 3lbs back? How is this even possible? I'm so dissapointed and I feel completely defeated.

You can't gain 3 pounds of fat from one cheat day. It is impossible.
Sadly, most of the weight we lose at the beginning is water (but glad we are to lose it!!!!) And probably everything you gained on Easter is water too.
Keep at it. It will come off again. You've got a great start. The longer you watch your food, the more fat (and muscle) you lose, and the lower percentage of water.0
