Advice re body fat...

I am 28yrs old 5ft2" 122lbs with 27 inch waist.
I went on a website which asked for loads of measurements (arms, wrist, waist, hips, thigh etc) including height and weight. Now I know this is only a ROUGH GUIDE, but it said I was about 25%ish (can't remember the exact number now) body fat.
I go to the gym and have a really good program that I am happy with. I told the trainer I wanted to get rid of the layer of fat covering my abs (I can feel them, just can't see them LOL) he said in order to get that look I need to be around 19% body fat.
My question is, I go on holiday in 75 days, I workout 3x a week. So that is approximately 25 workouts. Am I living in dreamland to think there will be ANY change... I am not expecting to be super buff I am not stupid (well maybe a little LOL) but can I still expect to see SOME results?

"Abs are made in the kitchen". You must lose fat in order to see your abs, and in order to do that, you must eat at a deificit. And, I think 19% is going to show some abs, but it will be a softer look, not rock hard sick pack, that usually happens around 14%. How much muscle you have underneath the fat will also affect how you look once the fat is gone.
This is a good visual representation of different body fat percentages:

Are you in dreamland? I don't know. With the proper diet and your exercise routine, you might be able to drop a decent amount of fat over the next 2.5 months. You're already at a healthy weight, so it will be slow going. Honestly, what do you have to lose by trying? Fuel your workouts adequately and balance that with a deficit. COntinue to lift and do cardio, and, at the very least, you'll feel great!0 -
Thank you very much for the reply.
I don't want a rock hard sort of look, but more the softer look.
I just worry about eating too little as I don't want to lose too much more weight. But on the same note, it might be that I need to lose a few more pounds of fat.
It is all a bit confusing to me if I am really honest. I know some people will probably roll their eyes at me and wonder how I can be so thick, but we have all gotta learn somewhere LOL.
I really like the link and will take some time to read it properly.0
