New here, switching from WW to MFP

Hello! I signed up for MFP a while ago but just started using it as of lately when I left weight watchers (it is just way too expensive for me right now, and I like the idea of strictly tracking calories in and calories burned). At my absolute highest I was probably around 230 after having me daughter in 2009. I yo-yoed up and down for a while.

When starting Weight Watchers I weighed in at 200.8lbs. Currently I am 175.6lbs. I'm 24 y/o and 5'4". Ultimately I'd like to be between 140 and 135. Just looking to make some friends that are on a similar journey!

OH! and I also bought a FitBit that should be arriving in a few days so any advice on how to incorporate that would be great!

Hi! I just started here myself a few days ago. I also did WW with real good success but have been slacking on tracking points, etc. My weight started creeping back up but am still down 30ish pounds since I started WW. Good luck to you!

Hi! I'm actually doing both WW and MFP side by side for a while so I can make the comparison before I completely switch over! Even though I am older, our stats are quite similar. I was 220 at my highest weight after having my daughter, then recommitted at 200 lbs. I am now 183 and am also 5'4". and my goal weight is also 135-140! Are we twins??

Anyway, welcome.....and I'm sending you a friend request now!

    P.S. - I don't have a FitBit, so I can't help you there!

Hello! Great job so far! I've done WW a few times and finally settled on MFP because it was free. I like the app on my phone and I have been holding myself accountable for 85+ days or so. I've had pretty good results so far! I like the support on here and I'm hoping to make it down to about 140.
I just bought a Fitbit a month or so ago and I love it. I am one of those people who need things like MFP for tracking, a HRM when I'm working out to see how many calories I'm burning, and the Fitbit to see how much activity I'm getting during the day. I think that with these things and the constant tracking, it holds me accountable. I have the Fitbit synced with MFP and I do all of my food logging, workouts and water intake on MFP, and then it syncs it all into the Fitbit. I also have these things synced with EveryMove, which is pretty cool because you get points and earn rewards for being active. It is probably overkill to some people, but I like numbers and I like seeing results, so the combination of these things works well for me.
Good luck to you! Hopefully we can make this journey to our goals with support from each other! Friend request sent

Switched from WW at the beginning of February this year and the scale has started moving again, I am now accountable for everything I eat (had a real issue with the idea of "free" food). I am also a fitbit fan and love seeing the daily results.
    Feel free to add me

I'm also a mama in the process of switching from WW to MFP. I wanted to go back to working out and every time I do that on WW, I end up being super hungry, super grumpy, and I stop losing. Friend me if you want; we'll support each other. :)

    Hi,

I made the switch from WW to MyFitnessPal also, about a month ago. I decided to shake up my routine and see if I could get through a long-term plateau. I have a fitbit and there is a way to make it sync to your MFP diary, very seamlessly. Please let me know if you haven't figured out how to do and I'll look for the instructions on this site.

    Best,

    Kim in Cali.
