Hi

Last year I had to stop running due to a problem in my sacrum (sacriliac joint, I believe!). Also occassionally my knees are crunchy and one of them sometimes hurts. Now...not one for excuses, I am eager to try Insanity. Your thoughts? Experiences?

Currently I am following a marathon power walk training plan, which runs to 8th June, as well as Matt Roberts strength training and cardio on non walking days. Dr's say i fit and healthy. I weigh 202.4lbs, need to get to 125lb ish!

Insanity is fun, but it's a LOT of jumping and it's very tough on the knees. If you're heavy and already having knee issues, it may be something for you to avoid. Especially when there are 1000s of workout options to choose from. I've heard of people modifying the program to exclude some or all of the jumping, but what's the point of that? Just modify it into Stronglifts and C25K and then at least you'll have something to do after 60 days

    My thoughts are: steer clear!

No one needs to train like that to get fit and lose fat. Sure you will get fit and lose fat (which will be a function of your diet btw), but you'll most likely end up damaging your joints and losing LBM as well. As per DavPul: something like C5K+Stronglifts for the win!
