How much fiber do you aim for in a day. MFP gave me 14/day. Is this a default number? Should I be aiming for more? I don't know much about fiber, truthfully.

I think closer to 25-30 is generally better for women. I personally have mine set to 30 and usually get more.0

Oh, fiber. If only it worked as advertised!0

I found the MFP default way too low for me so I changed my fiber goal to 30 grams per day.
Anything less is not good for me.
From a WEBMD article:
"How much fiber do you need?
Women need 25 grams per day and men should get 38 grams per day, according to an Institute of Medicine formula based on getting 14 grams of fiber for every 1,000 calories."0 -
Fiber is my life, lol. I know for me, 14 grams of fiber would be a joke and totally useless. And more then 30 is too much, of you know what I mean. My body works best when I'm right around 25. I'm OK at 20, but 25 is best.
I think 14 is very low just in general. But you should experiment and find what works best for you. More is better, but not so much that it gives you tummy troubles.0
