Trying to stay away from the scale....

....which is harder than I thought. The doctor said that when I approach this to not pay attention to the scale right now. He said that as I build muscle that the scale will not be my friend. I try to stay away and focus on how I feel, but it is so hard to do. I will keep hanging in because it has only been a month and I do feel better. Just can't wait until I can see more results. Anyone else struggle with this??

I've been struggling with this... Since starting the 30 Day shred by Jillian Micheals, I have only lost maybe 1 pound. However, I lost 4 3/4 inches according to my measurements after Day 14 (Level 2, Day 4). I'm trying not to let it bother me too much, but I was so used to see the scale move at least weekly before I started it. It's also hard for me, because I'm right at 201. I've been so excited to hit 200 and below, but I haven't gotten below since starting the shred. After 3 weeks of realizing that it's not going to move for me while completing the shred, I'm just staying away till I'm finished. I know that there are changes happening in the area of inches and muscle. I am able to do the push ups now. My pants that I bought before I started fit perfectly (didn't need a belt). Now, they are loose on me, and I need my belt to keep them up... So, I know there are changes happening just not on the scale... I know how you feel.. It is discouraging a bit, but I'm trying not to let it bother me too much. I keep listing the other changes that I see...
