Piriformis Syndrome?

I'm 20 years old and I've been cycling for about nine months now to burn fat. I'm finally where I want to be and ready to build muscle so last week I purchased P90X but just a few days after I purchased P90X, the top of my left leg started aching (more specifically my ar*e cheek). I thought I had pulled a muscle or something so I rested it for a few days but it's getting worse. Last night it got to the point where I kept waking up because of the pain.

I really want to start P90X next week but I don't want to further injure myself so I have an appointment with my GP tomorrow. I'm just wondering if anybody else has experienced this and if so, how did you fix it and how long did it take to heal?
