Cardio Advice for Sore Legs/Booty

Hi All - I hit the weights hard on Sunday and my legs and butt are sore. I've been doing light stretches, drinking lots of water, and took a rest day yesterday. Ideally, I would like to get some cardio in today.

I've heard mixed reviews about powering through the soreness and doing cardio.... Do you guys usually continue cardio through the soreness? I usually do but I don't know if that's helping me or hurting me.

As long as the soreness isn't debilitating, I push through it, and I usually feel better afterwards just from moving the muscles more. As long as it is just normal soreness, one rest day should be enough. Listen to your body when you workout though, if it is still very painful after a few minutes, you may need more rest. Good luck

If it's just muscle soreness, listen to your body. I will often do a decent paced walk on the treadmill. If my incline wasn't broken, I'd add in incline, but not go too fast. If you have acess to a rowing machine, that might not be bad, either. I know it uses your legs some, but it's really mostly upper body. If you have something you love doing, start it. If it's too much, stop or dial it back a notch.

Agreed, push through it if it's just general soreness. Start light/easy and increase intensity from there.

Go for a run, it should help with the soreness. As long as you're just sore and not hurt.
