yes, another hrm question

I used my polar ft4 today for the first time and wet the strap, wore the chest strap and the watch. I started training mode in the locker room, that's why there will be a little time difference. Anyhow it said I burned 631 cals in 53 minutes and the arc machine said 493 cals in 50 min. Could I really be burning that much more? If so awesome! If not, crap, what am I doing wrong? I am 5' 6" and 199 lbs.

In my experience, the calorie things on machines are never accurate. I'd go with what the Polar said, and even that I would take with a grain of salt. As in, yay! good burn! But not yay! Now I can eat 631 extra calories!
