i really loooove past, all pasta. any sauce any time, i could eat pasta everyday its so versatile, but 100g already is almost 400 kcal, let alone adding sauce. it makes it really difficult to keep under the daily goal.

does anyone know any low kcal recepies?

    Already, I can tell you are a woman with my taste. I also LLLOOOVVVEEEEE my pasta, and realized that carbs were taking over my life. I recently started experimenting with Shirataki Noodles. I was curious to see what the hype was in health magazines, and I was instantly hooked! Don't get me wrong, its essential to add other ingredients to the noodles to keep them from tasting too rubbery, but they are amazing with low-fat alfredo and marinara sauces, as well as with veggies and soy sauces. Might want to give them a try!

    I love pasta too. I use Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Whole wheat thin spaghetti noodles (or spaghetti, or penne, or rigatoni, or lasagna, or linguine) and love them. Its only 180 calories for 2oz dry. Its great and very filling. I like to make my own homemade pasta sauce to avoid extra preservatives and give it my own zest. But, whole wheat pasta can taste very good. I can't even remember eating white pasta.

    I :heart: pasta too, and I eat a LOT of it! I'm not sure where you're getting your numbers, but the info I've seen says 1 cup of cooked whole-wheat pasta (140 grams) has only 174 calories. I'm having some with dinner tonight. I love it plain, with just salt, pepper and a little garlic powder. If that's too dry for you, it would take only the teeniest drizzle of olive oil to make it more moist.

    try whole wheat or every once in a while substitute with spaghetti squash or ribbon thin cooked veggies like zucchini and carrots
