82 days later... still as motivated as Day 1!

I don't know why something clicked in my mind on January 10th, 2013 but I "rejoined" MFP and I've been excited about losing weight every single day since then. I've had plenty of "cheat" meals along the way... hell, even "cheat" WEEKENDS, but I'm finding it so easy to get back on track and I look forward to stepping on that scale every week. I feel good.
For those of you who get discouraged, I think the main reason I've stayed so motivated is by completely immersing myself in fitness and weight loss.
Here are some of the things I do:
- I love planning meals, finding healthy recipes and experimenting with new ingredients (like coconut oil and coconut flour!)
- I cruise "Success Stories" and Reddit subforums /r/loseit and /r/progresspics every day. Seeing before and after pictures REALLY keeps me motivated, and helps me look forward to when I can post mine!
- I constantly try new workouts I find on Youtube, fitness websites, in magazines, etc. I love finding new body weight exercises that really push me further.
- I treat myself with healthy rewards. Today I purchased my first HRM and two containers of PB2 on Amazon, and I am so excited to try them out when they arrive!
I think the main point to take away from this post... is to keep things interesting! Think of weight loss as a new hobby, something to challenge your mind and body with. Never stop experimenting with new healthy meals and make sure to change up your exercise routine to keep from getting bored. Reward yourself with things that will HELP you with your progress.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you stay motivated too!

Really good advice--it will also keep me from falling back on old habits as I try to make new ones. I like the idea of treating it as a new hobby instead.
Edited because its advice, not advise...0 -
Same! 81 days down and still finding it exciting dieting and exercising! 18 pounds down and what keep me motivated is hitting certain goals I.e no longer being over weight! Next big goal is the 20lbs mark!! Woo!!0

Carmella - we are very close to the same. I'm on 85 days, down 17 lbs, with a goal of 5-10 more to end up between 130-135. I've stalled out the last couple of week so sticking to it and being patient and hoping to drop below 140 this week!0
