Shape of the bicep

Some crazy questions about muscle shapes... don't hate.

I got a buddy of mine to help me out with my arms because I've made great progress everywhere but my biceps. So bad that my forearms almost outsize my biceps.

We have been lifting the same weight and I'm doing as many reps as he is. But his arms look giant in comparison to mine. He is like 5' 8" with shorter arms. And I'm 6'0" with super long arms. My bicep looks way different than his does too. His are a ball on his arm and mine spans almost all the way from elbow to shoulder....

Are there like known pros and cons to long arms with long muscles vs short arms with short muscles? More control with a shorter arm or something? More power with a large arm/muscle combo? What would I look up to find information for specifics on how muscles form and what the differences in motion and strength are?

Tyr browsing at bodybuilding.com. Genetics is genetics, you may never have big, round biceps. If you really want to build muscle, are you eating at a decent surplus? I'd up your calories, keep doing your normal weight routine (I'm assuming you're hitting all the majoir muscle groups and doing the big lifts), then add in some more/extra bicep accessory work.

Basically...everyone is different. There is nothing wrong with you, you just develop your muscles different than some people, that's all! If you've been long and lanky all your life, your arms are just not going to get all big and round like your friends right away. Give it time, and you'll build it up!

First, genetics can be a little ***** sometimes. LOL! Everybody is different. Look at bodybuilders in contest shape and look closely at some of the different shapes of their muscles.

What bicep exercises are you doing? Some exercises like the forearm and hammer curl aren't going to work the small head of the bicep very well. That doesn't mean they're not good exercises because they are. Additionally, the shape and definition of your deltoids can affect the appearance of your upper arms as well. How developed are they?
