My introduction..

Hello all,
I've been a MFP user since January 1st. The wife and I both got new smartphones for Christmas and one of the things I decided to do was to start tracking my food intake. I had never really dieted before, but I was teetering around 250 for a year or two now (I'm 40 years old now) and wanted to finally do something about it.
So since I've been tracking my caloric intake with MFP, I've stayed under the recommended for the most part, made some pretty huge changes to just how I eat in terms of quantity. I've cut sodas out of the picture and moved to either 100% water or crystal light (I know, aspartame, but still.. ) Before it would be normal (at least based on my current calorie knowledge) to have a 3k or 4k day without thinking about it.. big lunch out, few bad snacks through the day, sodas and a big dinner, followed by something before bed like cookies or ice cream or something.
So since Jan 1st, i'm down ~15 lbs.. Had some quick loss in the beginning but it's started to slow down more the last few weeks, even though I'm still at or below my recommending consumption.
So I started up round one of Insanity yesterday. Wish me luck on that one!
Feel free to add me as a friend so I can stay motivated and accountable. I'm not sure if other peoples updates show up in my news section on the MFP app or what, but it'll be interesting to see.
Thanks
Ryan
