facebook posts
Saw this post I thought was funny .... http://bearsharkaxe.com/index.php/annoying-facebook-posts/
and it got me thinking how annoying facebook posts can be sometimes, some from acquaintances and such but I feel guilty deleting them and who has the time to go through each post and hide it. ...? I used to like Facebook because it was a way to keep in touch with all my friends and family who are far away, reconnect with high school friends, etc.
(I'm not trying to sound mean or snobby or anything like that)....what are the most annoying posts you've seen on facebook?
Some of mine are:
- "Today I saw a spider picked up my shoe and killed it"
- Or when there is a big game on tv and people post every 2 minutes about each thing that happened.
- "Come on xyz player!", "can't believe you missed that shot", "TD~!"...and continue to post about 10x throughout the course of the game.
- "Share if you like posts", "Share if you believe in God", "Share if ____", bla bla bla. Its almost like spam in emails. :grumble:
ETA: I don't think I explained the intention of my thread well, this is just in good fun to compile a list of annoying posts. not to offend anyone. Ya know sort of like annoying things at the gym, at the store, etc etc. Ya'll don't need to jump on me for my post.

I have a lot of "friends" that are teachers. They have got to be the biggest complainers on Facebook. Especially for a group that gets home around 3:30 in the afternoon.0

I permanently deleted my Facebook two years ago and it is the best move I ever made.0

some people just post the most annoying things - ya know those ones that leave you thinking - Did you really need to share that information?
..Nah. Too easy.

I think you just need to find some cooler friends0

Yeah, teachers, what did they ever do for society? Always taking vacations. :huh:0 -
I deleted my Facebook in November.. One of the best decisions I've made in a long time! If people really care and want to get in touch with you a phone call is 100% more personal.. I think my generation is missing out on the organic tangibility of spending time together face to face.. Or even talking on the phone vs. texting haha. I've actually been less stressed out since deleting Facebook., weird but it must have had some effect on me I wasn't aware of. :flowerforyou:0

You can always remove those people..or choose not to see their posts.
But...how is making a forum post complaining about these facebook posts really any different? Just curious.0 -

Maybe . . . ask yourself the same thing?0 -

The ones I know start at 7Am don't get home until after 4 or later.
Then take care of their families and grade papers, etc.
Sounds like they have it made!!
Guess if it was that easy everybody would be a Teacher.0 -
MFP replaced FB for me. I pop in once every few days to drop in a cat picture to let people know I'm still alive.
Also, I've got AWESOME people on my FB. They do not annoy me with what they update. Why? Because they ****ing rock. That's why.0 -

^^ This
My Facebook newsfeed has some of that, but most of it is pretty right on.0 -
I would just delete the annoying friends and be done with it. Then you don't have to see their posts. The other option is don't log into FB. I'm on here way more and actually ger something out of it, like useful info to help me lose weight and be healthy!0

I have found that hell hath no fury, and the Facebook news feed has no equal in getting overpostsed to, like a woman scorned!0

some people really need to lighten up. if you don't like my post, keep it moving.0

Unlike Facebook where you can hide a feed or remove a friend, a public forum thread is open to any and all opinions.0 -

Couldn't YOU do the same thing on Facebook when YOU don't like someone's post?0 -
Most of the status posts are just constant complaining.
What I hate most is when people put up pics of their sick children to show how sick they are, like next to a bucket about to throw up.....I mean WTF is wrong with some parents to do that?!0 -

I came for lolz, but stayed for the irony.0 -
Wow! Can't a person just vent without getting skewered for it? Let he who has never been annoyed enough to vent cast the first stone!0
