gif files
Hey guys! On several threads I have noticed the gif files in response to questions. I am wondering if anyone can tell me how to add text to those gif files. I have found the website that offers them but I can not figure out how to add text to them.

Open it up in paintbrush and then add what you want. Then save it as a jpg or whatever and then load that onto photobucket.

Do you know how to add a picture to a thread? It's the exact same way.
In case you didn't know how to add a picture, find what you want to source. Make sure it ends in .jpg or .gif.

Now, to embed the image, I will type the following HTML code:

Because I included spaces in the coding, the image didn't show up. You can quote this response to see what it is supposed to look like, here:

OK thanks! I tried opening in paint, adding text, and saving but it is only saving the picture and not the animation:grumble: I have saved in both gif and jpeg to no avail. It should be worth mentioning that I am trying to email these files to a friend and not post them here on MFP...if that makes a difference?0
