Hi all fellow MFPs, I have been lurking around the edge of the pool for a while now so I thought I may as well jump in.
A bit about my journey.
After being invited to a corporate Horse racing day, the fear set in when I had to try and squeeze into my suit. At 127kgs (280lbs) I was the heaviest I had ever been. The week before the races I was able to drop 3kgs (7lbs) by limiting my Carb intake. During the course of the day, a couple of Aussie rules football personalities were introduced to the corporate guests for entertainment and photo opportunities. The photos from this day perhaps provided my biggest inspiration to change. Seeing my bloated face next to a couple of athletes was not very flattering at all!
Since that day I have:
• Completed C2-5K and been logging an average of 35km/week
• Started training in the gym 4 days a week
• Lost 23kgs
• Kicked Blood pressure and Cholesterol medication.
• Dropped 2 pant sizes, from 40 to 36inch.
• Started feeling good about myself!
I still have a fair way to go to my goal interim goal of 90kgs. But having the support of my wonderful wife and beautiful daughters along the way has made it so much easier.
Life is GOOD!
Feel free to add me to check out my photos!
