Newbie here

HI all! I actually "joined" My Fitness Pal a few months ago, but have just started using this week. I am a FitBit user and former WW member. I dropped my WW membership in December when my husband and I started working out with a personal trainer.

The end of January I had knee surgery for two tears in my left medial meniscus, as well as another procedure (that I'm currently drawing a blank on the name) that basically poked holes in the cartilage around my knee to promote blood flow and rejuvenate things, hoping to ward off future arthritis. So, basically the 12 week recovery time has slightly slowed things down with my exercise! I've recently started to do treadmill for 5-8 minutes at a time, ski erg, rowing machine, and stationary bike, as well as lots of strength training.

Between MFP, FitBit, and my trainer, I'm hopeful that I'm getting back on track with both my food and exercise!! :smile:

  • Hi my name is Brandy, but I'm called Mendi by pretty much everyone. 34 y/o, married, four children. I'm just trying loose 10 lbs, loose body fat in my thighs/butt area, and overal tone. Currently duing the Tapout XT workout. I completed it once before but due to moving my entire family to Portugal I wasn't able to get to a gym and I chose to eat unhealthy so all of my hard work went down the drain. I purchased Tapout XT2 but wasn't physically prepare due to my break. I currently on Week 1, Day 3....and feeling like Jell-o. Ha! Please add me if you're interested in support. I could use some!
