I just got my Zip yesterday. Still thinking about returning and holding out for a Flex... not sure yet. I have been doing mundane research on all these activity trackers for awhile now to find out what is the best for what I need and I'm hoping I'll get some good suggestions from fellow MFP members!! Can't decide if the Polar and other GPS and HRM units would be better...side note, HATE chest straps, so a unit that does HRM w/o it is desirable!!!

I do bootcamp 4 days a week, treadmill, and some hiking. Since the Zip measures steps, it is helpful for keeping track of alot of movement BUT falls short in many areas. I, personally, am not overly interested in my full day caloric burn... really just want to measure the burn with different workouts. Don't know what unit would be best for that.

Here are the issues I have found so far with Zip...
1- In bootcamp, the body is often stationary when doing movements like weight lifting, planking, or pilates. I am burning calories but the Zip isn't moving so they're not being registered.
2- When hiking up a massive hill, Zip still only registers steps rather than including the incline of the hill which a GPS unit/app (like RunKeeper) includes for more accurate calories.
3- Does not sync with most Androids
4- Activity graph on Fitbit site does not enlarge so you really can't see details.

Love to hear opinions and suggestions!!
THANKS!! : )
