Heart rate monitor recommendations

Can you all recommend one that isn't over the moon expensive but is reliable? I have a fitbit but it doesn't do heart rates and I cannot calculate my own. Thanks in advance!

    I have a Timex I got on amazon. It was around $50 or $60 dollars.

    I carry a stethoscope and a stopwatch when I run. Typically I just do a 5 second check and multiply by 12 to get a BPM average. The stethoscope also doubles as a good way to check on my breathing so I know I have a good clear airway for oxygen intake.
