Fitbit Flex like that records stairs climbed?

Hey everybody, I am thinking about getting a BitFit Flex. It does everything that I would want it too do except for one thing, counting how many stairs I am climbing. I climb a lot of stairs (since there are a lot in my house) so I would like to calculate this as well. I've also heard that if it can't count going up/down stairs, it wouldn't work on a hill, which is another downfall because about half the area I live is hills.
I'm curious on what others would recommend as far as something that does all of it? I am looking for a band because I know I will lose it if not on all the time (this is why I didn't go for the Fitbit One). Please give me recommendations if you have them.
Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I have decided to not wait and went for the Fitbit Ultra. I know it's an older model but heard it's not as hard to lose as the Fitbit One and I was tired of waiting for the flex. Maybe I'll get that in the future/couple years. Besides with the cheaper price, if something does happen to it, it's not as big of a deal as if something were to happen to an item nobody has used yet (other than at conventions). So I'm pleased with my decision.
I really enjoyed the link you posted though. It was VERY informative.0 -
How are you finding bitflex's products?
I was the flex so badly, but can't wait any longer.
I have decided to get the Zip tomorrow and see how that goes.
Also, I know some of their products do count stairs.
It's amazing what science and technology can do, who would have thought!0 -
Bodymediafit is far more accurate.0

Really liking it, thanks! The only issue I have is that it records stairs as every 10 feet (or something like that) in levalation difference. This is a problem because I have a multisection house (4 levels: basement, family area, first floor, master room and then 2nd floor) (3 stair cases w/7 steps each and 1 with 5 steps). I have to go up/down the steps between 2-3 times for it too count as one level/flight. Also, just because I like the movie, whenever I put the Ultra in the wrist band for bed, I feel like I've just walked out of 'In Time' lol0

I love my Fitbit One, its so small you can hook it onto your pants or your bra or side of your shirt. I was worried I'd lose mine and so far so good. Everyone I know who has a Fitbit loves it. My Fitbit tracks steps and hills of course but I don't think its really accurate when I'm on a bike or elliptical machine.0
