Recommended settings... Do they work for you?

Anyone finding it hard to lose weight at the recommended settings of 1 pound per week? It's hard to eat less than that, but weight loss is stalling. I also have to stop eating the calories I'm burning off. It seems to tell me I'm burning an awful lots of calories with 30 min of aerobics. Do you follow the settings or do your own goals?

I just eat 1650 a day regardless of exercise and have steadily been losing 1lb a week for 5 weeks (I started this before joining MFP).

You can use this to calculate maintenence calories, then multiply it by 0.8 to get a good start point for calories to lose weight that won't leave you starving.
I wouldn't recommend eating back workout calories as machines/ calculators can be way off in their estimations. Just keep in a consistant deficit and you'll lose weight.0
