How is everyone calculating calories burned for strength training since MFP doesn't do it? Are you using a monitor? Thanks!

Search for strength training under cardio and you will find an entry that will give you a calorie value. It is low, which is fine by me. Estimating calories burned during strength training is very difficult because there are so many variables.
Heart rate monitors are not accurate for estimating calories burned for strength training.0 -
I do use my hrm only b/c its something...MFP always gives me too much for every other activity so I can't really trust it with strength training either ya know
Since the values are so low with the HRM if it's off a little I'm not missing out or overeating that much (either direction)0 -
I use my HRM, but I do cardio in between sets too!0

I use my hrm just to get an idea. 1 hour of a push or pull program usually burns around 500 cals for me. Legs on the other hand will burn like close to 700 for just 40 minutes0
