Hi everyone.

I was just wondering if any one has tried optimum nutrition protein powders and if they would recommend them for someone like me? Have lost 36 pounds on a 1,200 diet..had a look in place of a roadmap upped my cals and have started lifting which I
I am also a vegetarian. I would like to still lose 24 lbs but looking toned and fit is the major goal.

Thank you

i have the double rich chocolate and the vanilla ice cream, both of which are really yummy!

i usually mix them with 200ml water & 100 ml semi skimmed milk, or in a smoothie.

I also use the double rich chocolate--I like it. I mix mine with a little coconut milk, or a combo of coconut milk/water, or sometimes a bit of coffee. Sometimes I drink it, but I also like to mix it so it's thick like a pudding, and eat it with fruit that way. You can do all sorts of stuff with it....there are recipe sites devoted to protein powder recipes, believe it or not.

I lift too, and find it much easier/more affordable to meet my protein goals if I supplement with whey.
  • I use the extreme milk chocolate, it tastes like a weak chocolate milk. Its great!!
  • i have both rocky road and banana cream.. they are both AMAZING. particularly when mixed with milk and in the form of a slushy :)

try french vanilla creme, its waaaaay better than vanilla ice cream. some days i mix it with just water, but when i can have extra calories i mix in a tablespoon of the sugar free banana cream sugar free jello mix, half a frozen banana, half a cup of milk and half a cup of water, and some ice cubes(i put alot cuz i like my shake super thick.) oh and a packet of stevia. makes the most amazing banana protein shake ever!!

Thank you so much everyone. I ended up getting double rich chocolate. Went to two stores one was 20 dollars cheaper and got a free tornado blender
Looking forward to trying it tomorrow.
So have it after working out?

Post workout is great. It's also not a bad idea to supplement when you first get up in the morning, or anytime your meal is protein deficient.

I use a magic bullet blender and blend mine with ice. It's pretty good that way....

I use the double chocolate also. I mix it in with my oatmeal with some ground flax seed and banana. Yum!
