Friend collectors

Even if it is in jest, I guess one could start with the reasons why people decide to add others or send a request.
Here are a few possibilities:
- Perceived common ground based on discussion board, profile, or mutual friends
- No uniform standard of etiquette for interaction
- They are a collector
- Not sure where to start - okay, we are friends....now what?0 -

0 friends when I logged in today. Will still be 0 when I log off.
antisocial?
You don't need to have someone on your friends list to interact with them.
Oh wow, there's no way I could enjoy my friends as much without interacting on their newsfeed here.
Been there, done that. I find private 1 on 1 interaction more rewarding and less of a distraction to my work day.0 -
Other than the people that are my real-world friends, I just like to add people that have pictures of their progress that inspire me or pictures of people whose bodies represent the level of fitness I hope to achieve. I also love meeting new people and hope that adding people may spark some sort of new friendship...but if not, I still appreciate the much needed inspiration they provide me.0
