NROLFW and weight loss

I started the NROLFW program a few weeks ago, and I think it's going pretty well. I know I'm getting stronger, and I'm following the author's advice and eating more to promote muscle growth. I'm trying to not pay as much attention to the scale, as I know that I will be gaining muscle weight and I don't want to make myself crazy over the numbers.
But here's my concern: I'm still over 200 lbs and have a long way to go to reach my fitness goal. I haven't gained a lot of weight, just bouncing around within a pound or two. But how long will it be before I start burning more fat and losing weight again? I'm also doing cardio 3-4 times a week in addition to three days of lifting.

Bumping causing I've been there as well (recently) - i changed program and dropped cals. Restarted loosing weight, but now I feel I'm going backwards in relation to how much weight/reps I was doing.0

I've just started this as well, 10lbs till my goal weight. I'm not sure if I will loose the weight as such but if I can tone up and drop a dress size then I will be more than happy with that. I am trying to stick to the calorie reduction of -300 calories based on the book.0

Often, when you are lifting, you tend to lose more inches than scale Lbs. If you're eating at maintenance or slightly above, you will build muscle very slowly (that is not the bulk of the weight) and shed fat...but you also store a lot of water and glycogen for muscle repair. You can store as much as 10Lbs + in glycogen and water.
My scale tells me I weight 83 Lbs...which is what I weighed two months ago, but I've lost 1.5 inches around my waist. I recently took a weeks hiatus from lifting to nurse a minor injury and I dropped about 8.5 Lbs over the week. It went right back on when I resumed my lifting.
When you're lifting, measurements and BF% is far more important than scale weight as the scale measures far more than just fat. it takes time...patience. Rome wasn't built in a day and you're rockin' new body won't be either.0 -
Bump! I'm curious about this, too. I have roughly 30 pounds to get to my goal, and I'm worried about my weight loss stalling for too long!0

I'm not doing NROLFW because I'm a dude.
Basically my take on it is right now the only weight I care about is the plates I'm putting on my barbells.
I have been lifting heavy since January. I have gained about 5 - 10 pounds back since the start. A lot of that was water weight and really I haven't been so good on my calorie counting, partly because I knew I needed to eat more to gain muscle. After 4 months, I can feel stuff under my skin and fat. I feel great, when I run my back doesn't hurt so much anymore.
I'm doing my first 1/2 marathon in a few weeks here, I have a spartan sprint in June.
Its pretty much a whole ton of awesome. I guess in a lot of ways I gave up on weight loss for right now. Was the best thing I could have done.:drinker:0 -
I'm in the same boat. I started 2 weeks ago and am up 4 lbs. I know in my head its water, water, water, but still frustrating!0
