Help! I have mono. What should I eat?

Hi everyone,

So... I have the dreaded mono. I'm almost 2 weeks in, so thankfully the worst of my symptoms are over. I'm still VERY tired and weak, though. I took a 20 minute walk yesterday (that usually takes me less than 10) and was wiped. I know I need to get lots of rest to recover properly, so that will probably be the extent of my exercise.

I'm slowly getting my appetite back, and I'm terrified of gaining weight if I can't exercise at all. I'm trying to stay at 1200 calories a day. Should I try to eat more to gain my strength? Or less because I'm not even that hungry? Or can I stay at 1200 and slowly lose weight? (Less appetite = minor weight loss = the only good thing about mono)

In addition to the AMOUNT of food, I'm struggling to figure out what to eat. I'm back to solids, but half of the foods I try make me nauseous and pained.

I don't know how to take care of myself anymore! This is all new territory -- HELP! Thanks
