Night Feeding

Here is my problem. I can go all day without eating sugary food, but once night falls I have trouble staying away. Sometimes I can't fall asleep w/o eating something sweet, and sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night just to eat it.
I eat roughly 2050 calories per day. (32 Y/O male ~ 236Lbs.)
I've tried drinking water when I crave sweets.
I've tried drinking a protein shake before bed to keep me satiated through the night.
I've even had my wife hide the sugary foods from me.
Any other options beside eliminating all sugary foods from the house?
