Water Question

Hi everyone. This might be a dumb question, so I apologize.

I'm going to start tracking my water and I just want to be clear - MFP has you track by cup (aka 8 oz) on its little water tracker thing, right? So if I chug a 16 oz water bottle, that is the equivalent of 2 cups? If I have a goal of around 100 oz a day, then I want to try to get about 12 cups?

Also, I drink a TON of coffee and tea during the day (nothing added). I do not log this. Should I? Also, to what extent does this affect my water intake and water goals?

Thanks guys :)

Yes, you're tracking by cups. So a 16 oz bottle of water is 2. Yes, you want to do about 12.5 cups.

    Yes, add your tea.

Reports vary on caffeinated beverages. I only count things that do not contain caffeine....so all of my tea, juice, broth, jello gets counted as water. You're consuming it. It is hydrating you. It is taking the place of pure water. Count it.
