Is there a Cataclysm coming?

Not in the doomsday or in the end of the world sense, but in the more common sense. With the current state of the economy, with the crash of the dollar looming on the horizon. With the war with Iran(and Russia and China if they come to Iran's Aid) threatening to cause a World War 3. With the sheer number of nuclear weapons between the US and Russia alone. With the current ongoing degeneration of morals, ethics, and love for our fellow man/woman. With the oppression and horrible tragedies perpetrated against women in foreign countries. With global warming threatening to exterminate all life, in a similar fashion to the dinosaurs of millennia ago.

With all this looming on the horizon. At some point it seems that people are just going to snap. When the US dollar crashes and nobody can get basic necessities such as toilet paper, food, water. When the need for fuel stops the trucks from moving, NO PRODUCT will move ANYWHERE on America. People will take to the streets rioting, raping, killing, looting. Women will be preyed upon and men will be slaughtered. Men will get the chance to be REAL men and protect the rights and freedoms of those weaker than us... but will they? Will they step up to the plate? Or will they degrade into barbarism and opportunism? What hope have we, when men currently make a game and show pride in cheating on their wives and lovers?

What hope have we, when our president has declared our soil a war-zone? By singing the NDAA we are now susceptible to being detained at any time for any reason, without trial, for an indefinite amount of time. He has given himself absolute power. I do not believe that men can handle such absolute power without corrupting. What hope have we when DHS has bought up 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition. DHS is HOMELAND security. Those rounds aren't for a foreign enemy. So who are they for?

I see a Cataclysm. Perhaps I think too much.

Fiddlesticks! People say this all the time but it simply isn't true. At least not in the civilized world. Remember back in the "good" old days when everyone was so 'moral' and 'ethical' and had such great love for their fellow human beings that only a small portion of the population was treated like real people, and everyone else (women/minorities/etc) was second class or worse?

I agree with you to a great degree. Women used to be raped, or killed just for being women. They had no rights, it was awful. Crusades killed thousands of people without regard for their lives. Governments massacred entire villages, hell they even systematically killed a city full of babies in one recorded history. So people are definitely no WORSE than they were before. It would be hard to achieve that.

Lol, Cataclysm was ok. The greatest thing blizzard ever created was Ulduar. I mean that was just so much beautiful epic.
