So I have 15.5 weeks until my next big goal date. What do you think is a realistic weight loss goal in that time? My net calorie goal on MFP is 1530, and I try to do some form of exercise 3-5x per week (bootcamps burn around 400cals 3x week, other exercise is Moderate). Thoughts?

Depends on your deficit. I would say 15 pounds would be realistic (1lb a week). But its possibly to lose 2 lbs a week but that might be too rapid for some.0

You could maybe get 15bs off at 1lb a week. Unless you totally KILL it with exercise. A lb a week is good0

Also depends on how much you have to lose in total/how close you are to a healthy weight.0

i'd say 15 pounds and maybe a dress/pant size0

You have only 20 lbs to lose..15 isn't going to happen. It also depends how you came to your calorie goal, is it from your TDEE? If its from TDEE then do 10% reduction and look for about .5/lb loss per week. Probably somewhere between 7-10lbs is more realistic.0

It depends on how close you are to goal weight. If the 20 pounds to lose on your ticker is realistic, then 7-10 pounds is probably something to shoot for. It also depends on the type of training you do and what you want your body to look like when you reach GW.
I guess what I'm saying is it depends. Oh, and I wouldn't put too much stock into losing random amounts of weight in random amounts of weeks. Do the best you can.0 -

Yes. 15lbs is stretching it big time. You would be doing really well if you lost half that.0 -

Wow, only 7 pounds in 15 weeks? Ugh, how depressing. Well, to answer some of your questions...
My overall long-term goal is more focused on losing body fat - I try not to focus too much on numbers, although I would like to keep track and see results if I am being committed. If I had to put a number on it, I'd love to lose 30lbs or 2-3 dress sizes overall in the long haul.
My 15 week goal is to lose as much body fat as possible. As I mentioned, my workouts generally consist of bootcamp/personal training style exercises like plyometrics, HIIT, etc. I'm already pretty muscular, so cardio endurance is another goal (yet enemy) of mine.
My caloric limit was generated for me using MFP, I do not know what TDEE is. I also place a lot of emphasis on the quality of my calories, not just the number. I try to avoid processed foods, white carbs, and booze (although I need a little to keep me sane).
Think that covers it for now. Thanks for your feedback, keep it comin!0 -
