fitbit success stories?

I just got one earlier in the week and so far I really like it. It seems to keep my lazy butt moving and is bringing out the competitive side in me. I was just wondering what other experiences people have had.

I've had one since about 2 weeks into my journey and I owe all my success (so far) to my FitBit and MFP!

I have had one for 4 months and cant say its helped me lose weight, but it has opened my eyes to how inactive I am Monday - Friday. Without working out I usually only hit 6k steps! Where as weekends I do 10k+

good little device, want to swap to a flex though as I have almost lost it a few to many times now.

My boss has owned/used one for a couple of months now and he swears by it. Very interesting little device. For those of you that own one, how exactly does it interface with MFP or does it?

Been using the FitBit since Dec. 2011. Luv it. Bought one for each of my family members (grrr......still trying to stay caught up with the wife and daughter). Bought one for my mother (so sad......I'm watching her profile as she sinks into alzheimers.......got to her too late to avoid the obesity/heart attack/stroke/COPD and now dementia), and bought one for my sister (she's doing great! addicted like my immediate family.....problem....her scores are rising...and I can see the dust she is kicking up approaching my scores quickly).

I highly recommend the FitBit. Well worth the value.....and when I eat my activity (not exercise) calories back, I'm more confident in the number. I still need to get my "very active" chart line to rise, as that is the level needed for heart health (e.g. aerobics). The FitBit makes it very clear where I've improved and where I still need to re-adjust/re-learn my daily habits/behaviors.

Been maintaining at target weight for about a year now.

    Good luck!

I lost 110 pounds in one year on mfp without the fitbit. I wear an HRM during workouts. I tried a fitbit recently for about two weeks and gave it back. I found many issues with it and will just continue what I'm doing.

It's a great motivator, but it is buggy, especially when syncing with MFP. Every month or so (lately, more often) something is changed and it doesn't sync for a while. And is really only good for tracking walking/jogging. Don't get me wrong - I'm glad I got it, but it's expensive for what it does and an HRM might have been a better choice because it can track other exercises.

I love mine, but I keep forgetting to wear my fitbit when I workout. I leave it on my day clothes, change into gym clothes then notice it after. ARRGGGHHH!!!

You can actually see mine in my profile pic in the center lol. Of course now they have a new version *eye roll* haha

I LOVE my fitbit! I used an Ultra for about a year and now use the One!
Before and current <---- Definitely helps and get to eat WAY more than what MFP wanted me to eat and still lose plenty of weight!

I really like mine. I do still wear my Polar when I do CrossFit, but I wear the fitbit too. It keeps me wanting to move to reach the 10K everyday and I can see when I start to slump into inactivity. My only issue with it and it is intermittent, is that it doesn't always track my stairs correctly, but that has been the only issue I have had with it. It syncs fine via my MAC and my iPhone with MFP.

I had one, got me active again after major surgery last year. Loved it! In the end though it drove me a little too much, I ended up exhausted. I now own a Ki fit / body media and I find I'm more balanced with that, than the fitbit. They also made a lot of bad changes to the website. The body media site is £10 a month but a great site! Depends how much to you like leader boards and how you think they'll effect you. It is very enlightening though, that much is for sure!
