Greek Yogurt Question

I currently eat Oikos greek nonfat honey yogurt, which I love! However, what is stated on the container does not match what comes up in MFP. The container says that one serving size is the entire container (5.3 oz/150g). However, when I scan the barcode and it comes up, it says that a serving is half a container, so I double that, no problem. BUT, the container says that one serving size has 21 carbs and when I double it in MFP to get the accurate calories (130) it doubles the carbs and everything else. Does this make sense? What am I doing wrong or not understanding? HELP!!!

Believe what is on the container. I also have noticed issues also when compared to container and MFP barscans. That is just my advice and what I do. I would say 95 percent of the time everything matches up. Occassionally they do not and if they dont I go by the container or go to other sources and try to average it out. Most of the scans you are going by what other members have input themselves. You are counting on someone elses input to be correct. Again I would go by what they manufactors say. If they say one serving is 150grams then one serving is 150 grams. Which sounds right one serving of my yogurt is like 130 grams so that seems reasonable.

It wasn't entered to the database correctly. On your computer (not the phone app) locate the item and check the nutrition. Where it asks "Is this correct?" click no. Then enter the correct information. This will be stored in the My Foods list and should come up next time you scan it.

Because most of the information is entered by users sometimes it's not correct, or the info is out dated. Last week my yogurt came up as an apple.

Just go with your gut instinct - MFP data is not always accurate because it is entered by thousands of people.

Thanks for the tips! I did find it on my computer with the correct info. Thank goodness! I was scared there for a bit, thinking I'd consumed 42 carbs from one serving of yogurt!!!
