Resurrected My HRM....Now I Need Help!

Bought a heart rate monitor (Garmin Forerunner 110) 3 years ago; I used it a few times then stowed it away in the drawer.

Fast forward to this week when my trainer asked if I had one, so I dragged it back out again.

I used it yesterday & it uploaded to my computer with no problem.

Today I wore it while I walked to the gym, did a workout & walked back. I connected it to the computer & the display on the HRM showed 'saving activity'. When I went onto the Garmin site it said there was no device connected. So I disconnected & reconnected several times using different USB ports, but still got the same message. Over an hour later, I have disconnected the HRM from the computer but the 'saving activity' message is still showing on the HRM even though it is not connected to anything.....I can't get it to disappear.

Any ideas???
