Setting-up goals (sedentary vs active)

Question: When you guys setup your goals, how did you chose your normal daily activities? I originally chose 'sedentary' (since I work on the computer all day), but am thinking I should've chosen 'active' since I workout every day of the week... I lost the first 3 weeks, but have been the same or even gained for the last two weeks (and I know that I'm not consuming 3,500 calories week)... I know my weight can fluctuate (TOM, etc.), but this is getting ridiculous...
Any advice? Should I up my calories and see what happens? I don't want to keep gaining!
Thanks!

On MFP, the daily activity does not include exercise. MFP expects you to log those workouts and eat those calories to account for it.
If you are using a TDEE calculator, then they would include exercise.0
