How to lose weight EVERY week?

I have been trying to lose weight for 5 months, and in that time have lost 30 pounds.

I eat roughly 1500 calories a day and exercise 5-6 times a week, a mix of steady state cardio, HIIT and weight training.

My diet is balanced and my diet consists of 80% clean, unprocessed foods (my diary is open if anyone wants to have a look).

I feel great, but my weight loss is very slow.. last month I lost 2 pounds. I realise progress is progress, but this is so slow and I still want to lose another 20 pounds minimum.

Any advice?

Are you losing inches?. If you are exercising that much you may be gaining muscle nearly as fast as you are losing weight

You can't, at least long term. Weight loss isn't linear. It tends to happen in chunks. You'll get used to it.
  • When your weight plateaus, eat more!

If you eat 1500 calories per day and work out 5-6/week and you aren't losing weight. Try keeping everything the same and make sure to eat HEALTHY foods but up your intake for the next week or two to 2000 calories then back it down to 1800 the next week, and 1500 the week after that. Upping your intake and then lowering it on a scale while exercising and keeping the food you eat healthy will prevent plateaus.

^This. And I'd rather lose inches personally. The scale loss for me is really slow, but I've lost a bunch of inches. Other things I use to measure my progress are my workouts and how much more intense and longer I'm able to do them.

Weight loss is not linear. But you can help it along by being super diligent about honest logging and weighing all of your food to make sure it's accurate. Little discrepancies add up.

30 pounds in 5 months is slow? That's about 1.5 pounds a week! If you only have 20 more pounds to go you can't expect to lose so quickly. Are you trying to lose the weight quickly for a reason?
